First and Foremost, this band creates music! And good music at that; it’s catchy, it’s quirky, it’s punk, it’s rockin and it’s pop. Their early lyrics express an intelligently ‘stupid on purpose’ overtone while their later lyrics take on a more poignant undertone that still manages to be laugh-out-loud funny. The overall concept of the band is a delightfully healthy rebellious parody of the pretentious nature of so many music related figure heads and artists, without being conceited or self-assured about it.

They have been winning over audiences wherever they play, selling their albums wherever they play, and winning over enough people to have Void Avoidance Records (Glasgow, Scotland) release their debut album “Music without Fear of Reprimand” in 2008 and to have Raging Storm Records (Nashville, Tennessee) release their second album “Sports”, stateside in the summer of 2009.

These words only begin to describe the music and ministry of Stria, a three-piece Christian alternative rock band from central Florida. Since their formation in late 2007, Stria has developed a strong, addictive, and unique musical style that has been continually turning heads. Blending a variety of sounds and genres, Stria combines heartfelt and vivid lyrics with gripping melodies and hooks. The musical textures created by Stria's Daniel Chapman (guitar, lead vocals), Justin Janetzko (bass, vocals), and Michael Cook (drums) range from heavy riffs and rhythms to soft, melodic movements. The sincerity of the message is clear and hopeful. With a sound and presence similar to the likes of Skillet, Linkin Park, Red, and Finger Eleven, Stria delivers the entire package.

Under Command signs with Raging Storm Records

Raging Storm Records is proud to introduce the newest member of their growing family of artists: Washington, DC based Under Command. Combining modern hard rock arrangements with an almost retroactive vocal style all their own, Under Command has enjoyed a good deal of independent success through extensive US touring and on progressive rock radio play. Lead singer and guitarist Wayne Johnson was also recently featured in a Guitar Player Magazine reader's poll as on of 2008's top rising guitar players.

Talks with Raging Storm Records prompted the band to re-enter the studio and begin work on the new all original project BACK IN THE
THICK, the band's heaviest and most aggressive project to date. The album will be released nationally on March 21 and is currently available for pre-order at ragingstormrecords.com.

Under Command will be appearing at the 2009 Cornerstone Festival, as well as supporting their label debut with live performances throughout the country.

A note to the prospect artist

Artists on our roster play both Christian and mainstream venues, as well as national events such as the Gospel Music Association Music Week, The Extreme Tour, Cornerstone Music Festival, Soulfest and others. Our roster is a family first and foremost, and we go out of our way to spend time getting to know our family members before “signing the deal”. If your band is of a genre that we feel is marketable, our main focus will be to find out if where we are going as a label and where you are going as a band line up. We have declined to work with some very talented bands that simply did not share our ministry goals.

Raging Storm Records signs UK punk rockers Rodent Emporium.

Raging Storm Records welcomes Rodent Emporium to its family of artists.

Originally formed in Scotland in 2005, Rodent Emporium made their first tour to the US in 2008. Among their many tour stops included the Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Illinois where thousands of new fans were exposed to their brand of music which combines old school punk rock, catchy sing-along choruses, and a good dose of comedy.

Lead vocalist Stuart Gilmour says of his experience in the band, "What a blessing it is to go into the darkness of underground punk scenes, vibrant night life and entertainment and to meet with people normally completely opposed to all things Christian, and to be able to make them laugh, and hopefully think about the big questions through our respect for them and unconditional acceptance."

Rodent Emporium will be touring the US this summer in support of a new full length album due out on Raging Storm Records in June. The band's debut release "Music Without Fear of Reprimand" is currently available in the UK at voidavoidance.com and in the US at ragingstormrecords.com.
